Dr. Dre has is currently in the intensive care unit after suffering a brain aneurysm, TMZ reports. The 55-year-old rapper, producer, and business mogul was reportedly rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Monday (January 4). TMZ says Dre is “stable and lucid”, but remains in the ICU as doctors conduct tests to determine the cause of the aneurysm.
After the news of his hospitalization was first reported, Dre shared a message via his official Instagram account: “Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes,” he wrote. “I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!”
