Mogwai Preview Upcoming Album with New Single ‘Ritchie Sacramento’

Mogwai have shared the second single from their upcoming 10th studio album, As the Love Continues. It’s called ‘Ritchie Sacramento’ and it arrives with an accompanying visual created within the Unreal Games Engine by director Sam Wiehl. Check it out below.

“Ritchie Sacramento’s title came from a misunderstanding a friend of ours had about how to say Ryuichi Sakamoto,” Mogwai’s Stuart Braithwaite said in a statement. “The lyrics were inspired by a story Bob Nastanovich shared about his friend and bandmate David Berman who proclaimed “Rise Crystal Spear” as he threw a shovel at a sports car. The song is dedicated to all the musician friends we’ve lost over the years.”

As the Love Continues arrives February 19 via Rock Action Records. It follows their 2017 album Every Country’s Sun and includes the previously released single ‘Dry Fantasy’.
