Bandsintown Announces ‘Plus’ Subscription Service for Streaming Concerts

Concert recommendation platform Bandsintown has announced Bandsintown PLUS, a new $9.99/month livestreaming service that offers subscribers “an ‘All Access Pass’ to more than 25 exclusive live shows every month.”

January and February will feature performances from a number of artists, including Adrianne Lenker of Big Thief, Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold, Phoebe Bridgers, Soccer Mommy, Waxahatchee, Flying Lotus, Empress Of, Jeffy Tweedy, Toro y Moi, Mt. Joy, Chromeo, Tycho, and more. In addition to the live streams, subscribers will also have access to “intimate chats with artists and access to sought-after concerts on other platforms,” according to the announcement.

“For the past year, we’ve been hungry for live shows and for a chance to support the artists we love,” Fabrice Sergent, Managing Partner of Bandsintown, said in a statement. “Bandsintown PLUS is an opportunity to break the barriers of cost and location that have historically hindered live music experiences. Now, with Bandsintown PLUS, live music can be more affordable, more accessible and more approachable. Touring artists have been economically ravaged by Covid-19’s restrictions. Bandsintown PLUS is a chance to help innovate the industry, creating new sources of revenue for artists, while deepening connections with their fans.”

Bandsintown PLUS is available for signup here. Fans have the option to test the service out first on a seven-day free trial basis.
