Ben Howard Previews Upcoming Album with New Song ‘Crowhurst’s Meme’

Ben Howard has shared a new song from his upcoming album, Collections From The WhiteoutIt’s called ‘Crowhursts’s Meme’ and it follows last month’s ‘What a Day’. Check it out below.

Howard said in a statement about the track: “This song was firstly inspired by a wonky synth guitar part that I had which had a kind of seasick quality to it, which in my head had a tenuous link to the Donald Crowhurst story – the famous tale of the amateur British sailor who died whilst sailing around the world. These two things seemed to marry and so it became a sort of exploration of the undocumented universal side of the story.”

Collections From The Whiteout arrives on March 26 via Island Records. The album was produced alongside The National’s Aaron Dessner and features contributions from producer Yussef Dayes, Kate Stables of This Is The Kit, Big Thief’s James Krivchenia, and Kyle Keegan of Hiss Golden Messenger. Howard’s most recent LP was 2018’s Noonday Dream.
