Christian Lee Hutson, Marissa Nadler, Real Estate’s Martin Courtney, and Kevin Devine are among the artists who have contributed to a new compilation of Elliott Smith covers. As Stereogum points out, the tribute compilation, titled Everybody Cares, is an extension of a livestream fundraiser that took place last year, which saw former Wu Lyf member Francis Lung collaborating with the French website La Blogothèque. Featuring many of the same artists, the tribute concert raised money for the LGBTQ+ rights charities AKT, the Audre Lorde Project, and GIRES, and downloads of the compilation will also benefit those same organizations.
