Taylor Swift and HAIM Team Up on New ‘Gasoline’ Remix

HAIM have enlisted Taylor Swift for a new remix of their Women in Music Pt. III track ‘Gasoline’. It’s taken from the new expanded edition of the album, which also includes a remix of ‘3am’ featuring Thundercat. Check out both remixes below.

Swift previously collaborated with the Haim sisters on the song ‘no body, no crime’, from her December 2020 album evermore. “Since we released wimpiii in june, taylor had always told us that gasoline was her favorite,” HAIM wrote in a statement on Instagram, “so when we were thinking about ways to reimagine some of the tracks from the record, we immediately thought of her. she brought such amazing ideas and new imagery to the song and truly gave it a new life.”

On working with Thundercat, they added: “We’ve known thundercat since 2013, and since then we’ve always talked about collaborating on something. so this past december, we were in the studio working on a cover and at the end of the session este mentioned that we’d always imagined 3 am as a duet. minutes later thundercat hopped on the song and put his magical twist on it.”

Women in Music Pt. II came out in June and was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2021 Grammy Awards, where it will be competing against Taylor Swift’s own folklore.
