Nick Cave and Warren Ellis Surprise Release New Album ‘Carnage’: Stream

Nick Cave and Warren Ellis have released their first non-soundtrack full-length album as a duo. It’s titled Carnage and it’s out now digitally, with a physical release arriving on May 28 via Goliath Records. Stream the new LP below.

In a statement, Cave described the album, which was recorded during lockdown, as “a brutal but very beautiful record nested in a communal catastrophe.” Ellis added: “Making Carnage was an accelerated process of intense creativity. The eight songs were there in one form or another within the first two and a half days.”

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds’ most recent album was 2019’s Ghosteen. Warren Ellis recently announced a new collaborative album with Marianne Faithful called She Walks in Beauty.
