Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak Announce New Collaborative Album as Silk Sonic

    Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak have announced a new collaborative project called Sild Sonic. The pair have already completed an album together, which will feature  Bootsy Collins as a “special guest host.” Mars revealed the news on Twitter, writing, “We locked in and made an album.” Though no release date for the LP has yet been announced, the first single is set to arrive next Friday (March 5).

    Anderson .Paak opened for Bruno Mars on the European leg of his 24K Magic tour in 2017. Around that time, they reportedly worked together on material at Abbey Road with Disclosure and Nile Rodgers. Mars has yet to follow up 2016’s 24K Magic; Anderson .Paak’s last album was 2019’s Ventura.
