Spoon Share Covers of Tom Petty’s ‘Breakdown’ and ‘A Face In The Crowd’

Spoon have shared two Tom Petty covers, offering their take on ‘Breakdown’ and ‘A Face In The Crowd’. Both covers were originally tracked live last year at the Catacomb in Austin, Texas: ‘Breakdown’ was recorded as part of Tom Petty’s 70th  Birthday Bash, while ‘A Face In The Crowd’ premiered in December as part of Jack Antonoff’s Ally Coalition Talent Show. The tracks are available today (March 12) via Matador – check them out below.

Last month, Spoon celebrated the 20th anniversary of their third album, Girls Can Tell, releasing a demo of ‘Lines in the Suit’.
