Floatie have shared a new song called ‘Castleman’. It’s the final preview from the Chicago-based band’s upcoming album Voyage Out, which is due out this Friday (March 26) via Exploding in Sound. Take a listen below.
‘Castleman’ was inspired by the classic novel The Count of Monte Cristo. “I read it and I loved it and I wanted to honor it through song,” frontperson Sam Bern explained in a statement. “It’s an interesting challenge trying to fit a 1200 page novel into a three minute song, and I hope that what you get from the song is at least enough to make you want to read the book.”
Voyage Out includes the previously released singles ‘Shiny’ and ‘Catch a Good Worm’.
