Moontype Preview Debut Album With Final Single ‘Stuck On You’

Chicago DIY outfit Moontype – the trio of singer Margaret McCarthy, drummer Emerson Hunton, and guitarist Ben Cruz – have shared a new single called ‘Stuck On You’. It’s the final preview from their upcoming debut album, Bodies of Water, which is out this Friday (April 2) via Born Yesterday Records. Check it out below, alongside a Lya Finston-animated music video.

“This song is about a crush I had on someone who had hurt my friend and really didn’t deserve that kind of love from me,” McCarthy explained in a statement. “It took me a long time to finally come to terms with what had been in front of me the whole time, that this person was not worth longing for. Despite the subject, it’s really a jaunty song, and it feels really joyful whenever we play it now.”

Previously, Moontype unveiled the singles ‘Ferry’, ‘About You’, and ‘3 Weeks’.
