Alanis Morissette has released a new song called ‘I Miss the Band’. Proceeds from the new song will be donated to Backline, an organization that connects music industry professionals and their families with trusted mental health and wellness resources. Check it out below, alongside an accompanying Victor Indrizzo-directed video.
“deeply yearning to play live music again….” Morissette wrote in the video’s description. “the sweat, the rapture, the movement, the love…i miss seeing your faces & being with my bandmates ❤️❤️ soon…we’ll be back together. 😭”
Last year, Morissette released her first album in eight years, Such Pretty Forks in the Road. In December, Girlpool shared a remix of the album track ‘Reasons I Drink’ as part of the Such Pretty Forks in the Mix EP, which also featured contributions from Eris Drew, MUNA, MNDR, and others.
