Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, and Jon Batiste Win Best Original Score at Oscars 2021

    Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, and Jon Batiste took home the award for Best Original Score at the 2021 Oscars for their work on the Pixar film Soul. Reznor and Ross were also nominated for their score for David Fincher’s Mank; other nominees in the category included Terence Blanchard (Da 5 Bloods), Emile Mosseri (Minari), and James Newton Howard (News of the World).

    This marks the Nine Inch Nails members’ second Oscar after winning for The Social Network score a decade ago. Soul also won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature this year.
