New York City singer and producer Candace Camacho aka duendita has released a new track called ‘bio’ (pronounced “bee-yo,” as she explains in the video below). Check it out below.
The new song was written, performed, and produced with duendita’s collaborator NB. In a statement (via Pitchfork), duendita explained: “‘bio’ is an existential dance song… reflecting on a distaste for involuntary experiences as a human… exploring themes of reality, creation and surveillance… “i didn’t ask to be born!”… yet you still have to find / cultivate joy in order to survive…. this song is about that journey and experience.”
Last month, duendita released the single ‘Open Eyes’, which landed on our Best New Songs segment.
