J. Cole has announced he will be releasing a new album called The Off Season next week. The LP follows the North Carolina rapper’s 2018 album KOD as well as the 2019 Dreamville compilation Revenge of The Dreamers III. Check out the announcement below.
No tracklist for The Off Season has yet been revealed. “Just know this was years in the making,” the rapper wrote on Twitter alongside the album’s cover artwork. Last year, J. Cole released a pair of songs, ‘The Climb Back’ and ‘Lion King on Ice’, though it is unclear whether they will appear on the new record. The singles were initially teased as part of a new album titled The Fall Off, which could be the follow-up to The Off Season. “The Off Season coming soon… All roads lead to The Fall Off,” Cole wrote in the description for his ‘Album of the Year’ video.
