Modest Mouse have announced a new album called The Golden Casket. The follow-up to 2015’s Strangers to Ourselves arrives on June 25 via Epic. It’s led by the track ‘We Are Between’, which you can check out below, along with the album’s cover art and tracklist.
The Golden Casket was produced with Dave Sardy and Jacknife Lee in Los Angeles and at Modest Mouse’s Portland studio. Ahead of their tour with the Black Keys in 2019, the band released a series of new songs that seemed to hint at the release of a new album, including ‘Ice Cream Party’, ‘Poison the Well’, and ‘I’m Still Here’, none of which appear on The Golden Casket.
