Mel Blue Present Debut EP ‘Sanctuary Point Part I’

Just today, Mel Blue, a Sydney-based electronic pop six-piece, released their debut EP Sanctuary Point Part I.

The EP explores the experience of losing yourself in the promise of a long-distance relationship. It wrestles with the apparent impossibility of making a relationship work across oceans, romanticises the joy of seeing someone you thought you might not get to meet again and eventually welcomes the conclusion of something you desperately believed could work.

Oscar Sharah one of the producers of the EP said this about it: “My old boss from ‘Lauries Vegetarian’ owns a holiday home in Sanctuary Point. Being the biggest legend ever, he would let Luke and I go down south to the house and set up all our gear to write and record Mel Blue music. Luke and I definitely feel like the music that we made down there felt like the beginning of an album or body of work. We hadn’t had a writing experience like that before and it felt pretty magical.”

Sanctuary Point Part I can now be streamed via Spotify and all other major platforms.
