Coldplay opened the 2021 BRIT Awards last night (May 11) with a colourful performance of their recent single ‘Higher Power’. The band played the Max Martin-produced track from a barge in the middle of the River Thames, directly outside the O2 Arena where the in-person event took place. Watch it happen below.
‘Higher Power’, which Coldplay debuted via an “extraterrestrial transmission” last week, marks the first new music from the band in two years. Their most recent album, Everyday Life, came out in 2019.
