Following his performance, Abel Tesfaye won the BRIT Award for International Male Solo Artist. After receiving zero nominations at this year’s Grammy Awards, the Canadian singer accused the Recording Academy of corruption and said he would be boycotting the awards going forward. After the Grammys announced it had voted to eliminate the use of anonymous nominating committees, the Weeknd reaffirmed that he will not be submitting his music for consideration in the future.
