Janelle Monáe Cast in ‘Knives Out’ Sequel

    Janellle Monáe has joined the cast of the upcoming sequel to the 2019 film Knives Out, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Daniel Craig will reprise his role as detective Benoit Blanc, while Edward Norton and Dave Bautista have also been cast in the new installment of the murder mystery.

    Written and directed by Rian Johnson, the film will reportedly be released on Netflix, which recently bought the rights to Knives Out 2 and Knives Out 3 for $468 million after the original Knives Out earned more than $300 million at the box office. Filming is set to begin in Greece this summer.

    Monáe’s most recent album, Dirty Computer, came out in 2018. She recently starred in the 2020 film Antebellum and the second season of Amazon’s Homecoming.
