black midi Release Video for New Single ‘Chondromalacia Patella’

    black midi have shared a new single from their forthcoming album Cavalcade. The new track, ‘Chondromalacia Patella’, is named after a running-related knee injury sustained by one of the band’s members. Check out a visual for the song, directed by Vilhjálmur Yngvi Hjálmarsson, below.

    In addition to the new single, black midi have also announced a YouTube livestream on May 26 at 2pm ET/7pm EST, where they will be premiering the new album two days ahead of its official release, as well as a Golden Ticket contest. One golden ticket will be inserted into one standard Cavalcade LP in the US and one in the UK, and whoever finds a ticket can claim one of three prizes:

    1) black midi will be the function band for an event of your choice
    2) One day in the studio with black midi for a creative collaboration
    3) Guestlist spots for two people for all future worldwide black midi headline live shows for 10 years.

    Cavalcade arrives on May 28 via Rough Trade. The band previously released the tracks ‘John L’, ‘Despair’, and ‘Slow’.
