Taylor Swift Joins Cast of New David O. Russell Film

Taylor Swift is set to appear in director David O. Russell’s new film, The Hollywood Reporter reports. The singer-songwriter is joining an already packed cast that includes Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Rami Malek, Zoe Saldana, Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Rock, Mike Myers, Robert De Niro, Michael Shannon, Timothy Olyphant, Andrea Riseborough, Matthias Schoenaerts, and Alessandro Nivola. No details have been shared about the film or Swift’s role in it, but production has already wrapped in Los Angeles.

The untitled project will be the director’s first film since 2015’s Joy, starring Jennifer Lawrence. The last non-documentary film Swift appeared in was the live-action musical adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats, in which she played the character Bombalurina. Her other acting credits include Garry Marshall’s Valentine’s Day and the adaptation of the classic YA novel The Giver.
