Martha Skye Murphy Releases New Single ‘Found Out’

London-based artist Martha Skye Mupry has released a new single called ‘Found Out’. Described by Murphy as “an Experimental-Baroque letter to the present,” the track was produced by Ethan P. Flynn and mixed and mastered by Andrew Sarlo. Check it out below.

Murphy explained in a statement about the new song: “The voice is abject; it comes from within the body, it is delivered by the mouth, heard outside our anatomy, taken back in through the ear and felt as a vibration. The voice can trigger, titillate, stimulate, induce false memories of the past and desires for the future. Bending and melding, this song teases and guides the passenger into an inescapable place of their own creation.”

The single’s cover artwork uses a photograph by Muprhy’s sister and frequent collaborator, artist Ceidra Moon Murphy. The piece is taken from her series ‘Salt’, a sequence of manipulations of a low-res scan through which the artist explains she is “making the clear, unclear and the ruined, Romantic.”

‘Found Out’ is set to appear on Murphy’s forthcoming album, which will follow two EPs from last year. Murphy recently featured on Squid’s Bright Green Field track ‘Narrator’.
