The Mountain Goats have unveiled the title track from their forthcoming album Dark in Here. The song features the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section’s Spooner Oldham on Hammond organ and Will McFarlane on whammy-bar Telecaster. Listen to it below.
Dark in Here is set to arrive on June 25 via Merge. Like recent releases Getting Into Knives and Songs for Pierre Chuvin, the album was recorded in March 2020. Previously, the group shared the singles ‘Mobile’ and ‘The Slow Parts on Death Metal Albums’, the latter of which landed on our Best New Songs segment.
