H.E.R. Announces New Album ‘Back of My Mind’, Drops New Song ‘We Made It’

H.E.R. has announced that her much-anticipated new album, Back of My Mind, will arrive on June 18 via MBK Entertainment/RCA Records. Ahead of its release next week, the Grammy– and Oscar-winning singer has also dropped a new single called ‘We Made It’. Check it out below.

“People always ask me, ‘What’s the message? Where does this come from? Is it personal experience?’” H.E.R. said in a 55-second trailer for Back of My Mind. “And it’s always the thoughts that sit in the back of my mind. It’s always things that I’ve been through, things that I go through, or what I feel, and all those thoughts that I’m afraid to say sometimes. Things that feel too honest or too vulnerable or too emotional or too aggressive … It’s all of those things that have been in the back of my mind for the past few years since my first project. It’s like a peek into my soul.”

In addition to ‘We Made It’, Back of My Mind will include the previously released tracks ‘Come Through’ (featuring Chris Brown), ‘Slide’ (featuring YG), ‘Damage’, and ‘Hold On’. It marks H.E.R.’s first full-length project since the 2019 compilation I Used to Know Her.
