Japanese Breakfast Sings ‘Be Sweet’ in Simlish for ‘The Sims 4 Cottage Living’

Japanese Breakfast has delivered a new version of ‘Be Sweet’ sung entirely in Simlish. It was recorded for The Sims 4 Cottage Living expansion pack, which is out July 22. The trailer for it is out now, and you can hear Michelle Zauner sing “Ba shug da vlee nooboo/ Ya wana baleesh da voo ya wana baleesh” in it below.

This isn’t Zauner’s first foray into video games. She accompanied her 2017 LP Soft Sounds From Another Planet with a game she co-developed titled Japanese BreakQuest, and is also composing the soundtrack for Sable, an upcoming Xbox and PC open-world game. She performed a song from the soundtrack called ‘Glider’ at the Summer Game Fest livestream this week; find that below as well.

‘Be Sweet’ appears on Japanese Breakfast’s third album Jubilee, which arrived earlier this month. More recently, it was announced that Zauner’s memoir, Crying in H Mart, is getting adapted into a film.
