Laura Marling Narrates Joni Mitchell Documentary for BBC Radio 4

Laura Marling has narrated a radio documentary on Joni Mitchell’s Blue for BBC Radio 4. Marking the seminal album’s 50th anniversary, the half-hour program sees Marling telling the story behind the writing and recording of the album, with contributions from Ellie Goulding, Beth Orton, Graham Nash, Seal, and more. Listen to it here.

Blue is set to be reissued as part of a new box set, The Reprise Albums (1968-1971), which is out on June 25. It also includes an essay from Brandi Carlile, who writes, “In my opinion, Blue is the greatest album ever made. Blue didn’t make me a better songwriter. Blue made me a better woman. No matter what we are dealing with in these times, we can rejoice and know that of all the ages we could have lived through, we lived in the time of Joni Mitchell.”
