Kamasi Washington has shared a new song called ‘Sun Kissed Child’. It’s taken from the latest instalment in The Undefeated’s Music for the Movement series, the Liberated EP, which also includes songs by Chlöe Bailey, Cordae with Common, and more. Listen to it below.
Liberated was preceded by the EPs I Can’t Breathe and Black History Always. In 2018, Washington issued Heaven and Earth and its counterpart The Choice. Last year, he scored Michelle Obama’s Becoming documentary and teamed up with Terrace Martin, Robert Glasper, and 9th Wonder for the supergroup Dinner Party.
