Listen to St. Vincent’s Cover of Metallica’s ‘Sad But True’

Last week, Metallica announced The Metallica Blacklist, a covers album featuring 53 artists’ takes on songs from their 1991 self-titled album. St. Vincent is one of those artists, and today her version of ‘Sad But True’ has been released along with Sam Fender’s live take on the track. Check out both renditions below.

The Metallica Blacklist is one of two commemorative releases celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Black Album. The other is a massive deluxe reissue featuring the 2xLP, a picture disc, three live LPs, 14 CDs, six DVDs, a hardcover book, and more. Both are out September 10 on the band’s own Blackened Recordings.
