Courtney Love Covers Britney Spears’ ‘Lucky’

Earlier this week, Courtney Love appeared in The New Yorker‘s major investigation into Britney Spears’ conservatorship due to her connections with Hollywood figure Sam Lutfi, who she called a “street hustler.” “An honor to speak to an honorable man,” she tweeted, referring to journalist Ronan Farrow, who co-wrote the piece with Jia Tolentino. “Speak again soon.” Last night (June 3), Love took to Instagram to share a cover Spears’ Oops! … I Did It Again song ‘Lucky’, as Stereogum points out. Watch it below.

Love is one of many artists who have spoken out in support of Spears following her recent hearing remarks. On Monday, Christina Aguilera addressed her former Mickey Mouse Club co-star’s current situation on social media, writing, “It is unacceptable that any woman, or human, wanting to be in control of their own destiny might not be allowed to live life as they wish.”
