Diet Cig are the latest act to share their rendition of a song from Metallica’s 1991 self-titled album for its 30th anniversary. As part of the massive covers collection The Metallica Blacklist, the Richmond-based indie rock duo have tackled ‘The Unforgiven’. Listen to their version below.
Diet Cig’s take on ‘The Unforgiven’ follows recent covers by St. Vincent, Biffy Clyro, OFF!, Miley Cyrus, and more. A total of 53 artists contributed to The Metallica Blacklist, which arrives on September 10. Diet Cig’s most recent album, Do You Wonder About Me?, came out in May 2020.
