Iggy Pop and Matt Sweeney have shared their cover of the Velvet Underground‘s ‘European Son’, which appears on the forthcoming tribute compilation I’ll Be Your Mirror: A Tribute to the Velvet Underground & Nico. Give it a listen below.
The collection, which comes out September 24 via Verve, includes Kurt Vile’s rendition of ‘Run Run Run’, Matt Berninger’s take on ‘I’m Waiting for the Man’, and Courtney Barnett’s version of ‘I’ll Be Your Mirror’. Michael Stipe, St. Vincent and Thomas Bartlett, Sharon Van Etten with Angel Olsen, Thurston Moore and Bobby Gillespie, Fontaines DC, and more also contributed to the project.
