Watch Foo Fighters Perform at MTV VMAs 2021

Foo Fighters took the stage at last night’s 2021 MTV Video Music Awards to perform a medley of hits, including ‘Learn to Fly’, ‘Everlong’, and their Medicine at Midnight single ‘Shame Shame’. Drave Grohl then gave a short speech accepting the VMAs’ first-ever Global Icon Award, which was presented to the group by Billie Eilish. Watch it happen below.

The U.S. Global Icon Award, which is modeled after the annual MTV Europe Music Award for Global Icon, “celebrates an artist/band whose unparalleled career and continued impact and influence has maintained a unique level of global success in music and beyond.” Foo Fighters were also nominated for Best Rock, Best Cinematography, and Best Choreography VMAs for their ‘Shame Shame’ video.
