Kathleen Frances Announces Debut EP, Unveils New Single ‘Grown’

Kathleen Frances has shared a new single, ‘Grown’, alongside news of her upcoming debut EP. Through The Blue, which was produced with Bristol collaborator Benji Bowers and Ben Baptie (Moses Sumney, Little Simz, Cleo), will be out on February 10. Listen to ‘Grown’ below.

“Acceptance of uncertainty and learning to almost enjoy it was a big shift for me when writing this EP,” Frances said in a press release. “I am totally uncertain most of the time but I’m okay with that. Uncertainty actually takes the heat off life a bit. Take it as it comes because really who the fuck knows.”

Of ‘Grown’, she added: “This is such a nostalgic song for me. I wrote this and then came back to it six months later. That’s when the pre-chorus hook finally came to me. That part just takes me to one of those (too infrequent) moments where you have the least cares in the world, no worries, no responsibilities. Basically being an adult sucks and we should try and escape it whenever and wherever possible.”
