Floating Room, the musical project of Portland-based artist Maya Stoner, has shared a new song called ‘Firetruck’. It’s taken from her upcoming Shima EP and follows previous outing ‘Shimanchu’, which made our Best New Songs list. Give ‘Firetruck’ a listen below.
Talking about the new track, Stoner said in a statement: “The older I get the more pop music I listen to. I’m tired of being sad! I want to be happy and pop music makes me happy even when the lyrics are sad. This is the pop song of the EP. It came to me all at once and those are the songs I trust the most.”
Shima is out November 12 via Famous Class Records.
