Rave Ami Share New Single ‘Graduation Day’

Rave Ami have shared a new single, ‘Graduation Day’, lifted from their forthcoming LP Let It Be. The track follows lead cut ‘Saints on Silver’, which the Pittsburgh indie rock trio released last month alongside an accompanying video. Take a listen below.

Speaking about the new single, vocalist Joe Praksti said in a statement:

Traveling down a busy street with someone, then traveling down it again alone. There’s differences in the two experiences, what’s shared and what’s seperate; in what you notice, what’s important, how time passes, how the world feels. Think about it again from the perspective of a stranger. How did you even get here? Or was it there?

We reflect outwards what we reflect inwards. The perspective of others turns that representation into a parallax. We give that back in turn; appreciate the difference.

This song is for my younger brothers. Each moment in your life is a graduation from the last. There’s what you can and what you do, and that’s how you become who you are, innit? Everything means everything and nothing at the same time. “You get what you give.” You’re already here–let it be.

Rave Ami’s new album, which will follow 2018’s All Great Bands Break Up, is due out on November 19.
