Crime drama Unseen is back with season 2, which amps up the action to new heights. So much so that it has viewers glued to the screen. The series has reached the Netflix Top 10 in 20 countries, proving that a thrilling narrative will never go out of style.
The only problem is that fans only got six episodes – and some are already excited for more. Unfortunately, the show’s future is currently uncertain.
Unseen Season 3 Release Date
At the time of writing, Unseen hasn’t been renewed for additional episodes. The first season debuted in 2023, with the second following in 2025. If Netflix renews it, Unseen season 3 will likely premiere in 2027.
While the show’s popularity is a good sign, there are plenty of metrics the streaming service considers when deciding which titles will make a comeback. Sometimes, it happens quickly, like with recent hit Forever. Other times, viewers have to wait a few months for news.

What Could Happen in Unseen Season 3?
Unseen centres on Zenzi, a seemingly unremarkable house cleaner whose life takes a dark turn when her husband disappears shortly after his release from prison.
Her search for him plunges her into Cape Town’s criminal underworld, where she becomes entangled with dangerous syndicates and corrupt officials. Not only are gangsters hot on her trail, but she also stumbles upon a massive conspiracy.
Zenzi’s unassuming presence allows her to navigate dangerous situations. However, she is forced to make tough decisions and confront violent folks as she tries to figure out what’s really going on.
As season 2 kicks off, the heroine is in prison, facing threats from fellow inmates. While people on the outside are keen to help her expose the broader conspiracy, Zenzi has trauma to deal with and personal developments to digest. On top of it all, she has to find creative ways to stay alive.
The explosive finale offers Zenzi some closure, but she remains a strong character, and it would be interesting to see where the story takes her next. Unseen Season 3 will likely continue to push her to her limits, keeping viewers invested throughout.
