Experimental shoegazers They Are Gutting a Body of Water, one of the most influential bands in the scene, are back with a new single. The hazy yet compelling ‘AMERICAN FOOD’ is out now via bandleader Douglas Dulgarian’s own label, Julia’s War, in a new partnership with Smoking Room and ATO Records. TAGABOW, which started out as Dulgarian’s solo project, has now expanded into a four-piece with bassist Emily Lofing, guitarist PJ Carroll, and drummer Ben Opatut. So far, they’ve self-released a string of albums and EPs. Last year, they teamed up with Greg Mende and SUN ORGAN for ‘krillin’ and remixed Hotline TNT’s ‘Son in Law’.
