With great performances and an appealing case-of-the-week format, Beyond the Bar was always going to be a crowd-pleaser. Now, it has the viewership numbers to prove it.
The Korean legal series, streaming on Netflix, is currently one of the most-watched non-English shows on the platform, with 4.1 million views this week alone. It has already spent four weeks in the Top 10, and is #1 in five countries where the service is available.
Does that mean it could come back for seconds?
Beyond the Bar Season 2 Release Date
At the time of writing, there’s no official news about a potential Beyond the Bar season 2.
Season 1 is ongoing, with episodes coming out weekly. The powers that be might be waiting to see how the show performs in its entirety before giving the green light. Considering the premise, it’s the kind of series that could go on for a while.
That said, many Korean dramas are a one-and-done type of affair. For now, all we can do is wait and see. If the news is good, additional episodes might come our way sometime in 2026.

What Could Happen in Beyond the Bar Season 2?
The series centers on Kang Hyo-min, a smart yet socially awkward rookie lawyer who joins a prestigious law firm. Despite her brilliance, she struggles with the intense dynamics of the workplace.
Thankfully, she starts to work under Yoon Seok-hoon, a seasoned partner with equally strong convictions.
While their relationship is initially strained because their personalities are quite different, it turns out this tension is exactly what they both need to excel professionally. Each episode features a captivating case, but it’s their rapport that ultimately keeps you invested.
Hyo-min evolves from inexperienced idealist to confident litigator, while Seok-hoon’s rigid exterior slowly begins to soften. Their growth is fun to watch.
If Beyond the Bar season 2 happens, we’re guessing it would follow the same formula. Intriguing cases, coupled with a thoughtful exploration of workplace relationships. We would definitely tune in for that.
