Kelsey Lu Announces First Album in Seven Years, Unveils Single

Kelsey Lu has announced a new album, their first since 2019’s Blood. It’s called So Help Me God, and it’s set to land on June 12 via Dirty Hit. The breathtaking lead single, ‘Running to Pain’, arrives with a Savanah Leaf-directed video starring Titane actor Garance Marillier. Check it out and find the album cover and tracklist below.

So Help Me God was produced with Jack Antonoff, a name I never expected to see alongside Lu’s, as well as Yves Rothman. Kim Gordon, Sampha, Kamasi Washington, and Lady Jess feature on the project, which was mixed by Oli Jacobs.

So Help Me God was built slowly and intentionally across seven years of transformation,” Lu shared in a statement. “Sonically and emotionally it holds so many different worlds at once – devotion and desire, collapse and becoming – trying to make sense of what it means to break, to believe, to long for something without seeing it clearly, and to be reborn again and again and again.”
