DTF St. Louis Season 2: Cast, Rumours & Release Date

Part midlife crisis story, part murder mystery, DTF St. Louis is all around a good time. The HBO show has been enjoying a decent amount of buzz since it premiered, its popularity steadily growing with each episode.

Ahead of the first season finale, however, many viewers are wondering what comes next. Will there be more episodes somewhere down the line? Here’s what we know so far.

DTF St. Louis Season 2 Release Date

Unfortunately, DTF St. Louis season 2 is a long shot. The show has always been marketed as a limited series, with HBO doubling down on that description in promotional materials.

While a follow-up is never out of the question if the show becomes an international phenomenon, the story is also pretty self-contained. For now, it looks like seven episodes is all we’re going to get.

  • David Harbour as Floyd Smernitch
  • Linda Cardellini as Carol Love-Smernitch
  • Richard Jenkins as Detective Donoghue Homer
  • Joy Sunday as Jodie Plumb

What Is DTF St. Louis About?

DTF. St. Louis is a dark comedy-drama revolving around three main characters. Clark is a local TV weatherman, Floyd is an ASL interpreter, and Carol is Floyd’s unpredictable wife.

What begins as a friendship between the men spirals when Clark introduces Floyd to a hookup app for married people called “DTF St. Louis.” That interaction sets off a wild chain of events that ultimately leads to one of them dead.

The shown is told in non-linear fashion, constantly rewinding and reframing events, which is a big part of its charm. The appealing cast doesn’t hurt either, and the mystery at the heart of the narrative keeps viewers on their toes.

As episodes unfold, you’re forced to ask yourself who’s lying and who’s truly responsible for the death. Was it a murder? Was is something else entirely? And how guilty should certain parties feel about how events went down? In other words, the series gives you plenty to think about.

While DTF St. Louis season 2 is unlikely, there’s still the finale to go, which will arrive on April 12. Hopefully, the ending will be a satisfying one.
