Gorillaz have unveiled a surprise new EP called Meanwhile. Out today, the three-song project is an homage to the Notting Hill Carnival and features the new tracks ‘Déjà Vu’ with Alicaì Harley, ‘Jimmy Jimmy’ featuring AJ Tracey, and ‘Meanwhile’ with Jelani Blackman and Barrington Levy. Gorillaz debuted all three songs during a free concert for NHS workers at London’s O2 Arena earlier this month. Stream Meanwhile below.
Last year, Gorillaz dropped a series of singles that were collected on Song Machine Season One: Strange Timez, which featured collaborators with Robert Smith, Beck, Schoolboy Q, St. Vincent, Elton John, slowthai, Octavian, and more.
