Buffalo Tom is a Boston-based three-piece composed of Bill Janovitz, Chris Colbourn, and Tom Maginnis. The band was formed in 1986 while its members were students at UMASS Amherst, taking their name from the band Buffalo Springfield and the first name of their drummer.
