Hauser & Wirth to Present ‘The Flesh of the Earth’ by Enuma Okoro

A new exhibition curated by Enuma Okoro titled The Flesh of the Earth will be on view at Hauser & Wirth New York from the 1st of February, 2024. The exhibition urges viewers to renew their connection with life-force energy in all creation, human and more-than-human. It emphasises a more intimate relationship with the earth. 

Artists featured in the exhibition will include Olafur Eliasson, Adama Delphine Fawundu, Jenny Holzer, Rashid Johnson, Haley Mellin, Cassi Namoda, Lorna Simpson, Kiki Smith, Pamela Phatsimo Sunstrum, and Billie Zangewa. The exhibition will also feature the poetry of renowned author Ama Codjoe.

Enuma Okoro is a Nigerian-American writer, journalist, theologian, lecturer, and arts and culture critic. She writes a weekly column for the Financial Times. Her weekend column, ‘The Art of Life,’ explores the intersection of art, philosophy, spirituality, ecology, and culture and how they can speak to the human condition.
