Born in Boca Raton, Florida, Ariana Grande began her career in 2008 in the Broadway musical 13 and rose to prominence for her role as Cat Valentine in the Nickelodeon television series Victorious (2010–2013) and Sam & Cat (2013–2014). After signing with Republic Records in 2011, she released her debut album, Yours Truly, whose lead single, the Mac Miller collaboration ‘The Way’, became her first US top-ten single. She further solidified her image as a pop and R&B powerhouse with 2016’s Dangerous Woman, which was followed by Sweetener (2018), Thank U, Next (2019), and Positions (2020). In January 2024, she returned with a new single, ‘yes, and?’.
