Born Jamie Smith in Putney, Jamie xx is a DJ and producer best known as a member of the xx, which he formed with former school friends Oliver Sim, Romy Madley Croft, and Baria Qureshi in 2006. Blending indie, R&B, and dance music, he has remixed tracks by the likes of Florence + The Machine, Adele, and Gil Scott-Heron, and released his debut album, In Colour, in 2015.
