Born in California and raised by pastor parents, Moses Sumney cut his teeth in the Los Angeles music scene, releasing his debut EP, Mid-City Island, in 2014. Known for his rich fusion of art pop, R&B, and folk, he put out another EP, Lamentations, in 2016 before issuing his first full-length album, Aromanticism, the following year. His second studio album, Græ, arrived in 2020.
