Formed by vocalist Nick Cave after the breakup of the Birthday Party in 1983, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds rose to prominence as one of the most eclectic and impactful post-punk and alternative rock acts of the ’80s and beyond. The band currently consists of Cave, violinist and multi-instrumentalist Warren Ellis, bassist Martyn P. Casey, guitarist George Vjestica, keyboardist/percussionist Larry Mullins (aka Toby Dammit), and drummers Thomas Wydler and Jim Sclavunos. They have released a total of 17 studio albums, most recently 2019’s Ghosteen.
