Formed in New York City in 1998, the Strokes are composed of lead singer and primary songwriter Julian Casablancas, guitarists Nick Valensi and Albert Hammond Jr., bassist Nikolai Fraiture, and drummer Fabrizio Moretti. Leading the early-2000s garage rock and post-punk revival, the band has put out seven studio albums: Is This It (2001), Room on Fire (2003), First Impressions of Earth (2005), Angles (2011), Comedown Machine (2013), The New Abnormal (2020), and Reality Awaits (2026).
