Miley Cyrus Shares Self-Directed Video for New Song ‘Midnight Sky’

Miley Cyrus has shared a new song titled ‘Midnight Sky’ via RCA Records. It arrives with an accompanying music video directed by Cyrus herself. Check it out below.

According to a press release, the new song and video were inspired by artists such as Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett and Debbie Harry. “It’s been a long night and the mirror is tellin’ me to go home/ But it’s been a long time since I’ve felt this good on my own,” she sings, “Nine years went by with my hands tied up in your ropes/ Forever and ever, no more.”

Cyrus first teased new music last week, where she posted part of the music video for ‘Start All Over’, which she first released Hannah Montana in 2008, alongside the caption :“Meet Miley Cyrus… again. #SheIsComing #ButForRealThisTime.” This Wednesday, she shared a 15-second audio clip of ‘Midnight Sky’ via Instagram Reels and encouraged fans to make their own Reels using the song.

‘Midnight Sky’ marks the first new music from Cyrus in 2020, following her 2019 EP She Is Coming. A release date for her much-anticipated upcoming album, She Is Miley Cyrus, has yet to be announced.
